I've got two gigs booked, so I called the DNR and got my hands on the latest boating guide for Minnesota. It's nice to see if there have been any changes and it's nice to have on hand when I'm on the boat in case a passenger debates my choices. "It's the law, fella."
I know some things aren't clear cut, like what red and green beacons mean and what you should do about them, but flotation devices and, well, gravity and basic physics are hopefully familiar to most people. Unfortunately, I found this passage in the book:
